SpeedX services, coverage, and gateway guide

Understand SpeedX's retained coverage snapshot of 11,775 ZIPs, 122 service areas, and 8 entry gateways, then evaluate fit using its next-/second-day services, tracking, DAS/EDAS rules, and parcel acceptance boundaries.

What SpeedX is

SpeedX is a U.S. eCommerce last-mile carrier founded in 2022. Its official materials address retailers, marketplaces, DTC brands, 3PLs, and logistics providers, and publish next-day, second-day, customs-clearance, and handling/injection services. The current network supports entry through ATL, DFW, EWR, IAH, LAX, MIA, ORD, and SFO. Shipment-level fit still depends on the selected gateway's state-level reach, destination eligibility, parcel specifications, operating arrangements, and contract terms.

How to interpret the published services

ServicePublished positioningConfirm before launch
Next-day deliveryU.S. last-mile service for shipments requiring a tighter delivery window.Eligible ZIPs, cutoffs, pickup/injection timing, and contracted commitment.
Second-day deliveryA published option balancing speed with operating cost.Origin-destination pairing, weekend rules, and peak arrangements.
Customs clearanceA customs step for cross-border goods entering U.S. final mile.Declaration data, responsible party, restricted goods, and exception handling.
Handling and injectionLets logistics providers hand consolidated parcels into the SpeedX network.Appointments, labels, manifests, induction scans, and volume minimums.

A service name should not be treated as an unconditional shipment-level guarantee. Buyer promises should follow the current ZIP matrix, operating schedule, and signed agreement.

Advantages supported by public sources

  • Delivery visibility: SpeedX publishes live tracking, SMS updates, geolocation data, and photo proof of delivery, supporting customer-service investigation.
  • Cross-border-to-last-mile handoff: Customs, handling, and injection services connect upstream consolidation with U.S. final-mile delivery.
  • Tiered transit choices: Next-day and second-day services provide different speed options on eligible lanes, subject to ZIP validation.
  • Injection for consolidated volume: SpeedX publishes a handling and injection offer for logistics providers, supporting planned consolidated handoffs rather than ad hoc shipment selection.
  • Eight entry-gateway options: ATL, DFW, EWR, IAH, LAX, MIA, ORD, and SFO support different inbound and consolidation routes, with state-level reach validated per gateway.

U.S. coverage snapshot and entry gateways

Unsupported addresses: Delivery to APO/FPO/DPO military or diplomatic addresses and PO Box addresses is not supported, even when the destination ZIP is within the coverage area.

This map uses the retained coverage-file snapshot and is not a shipment-level eligibility guarantee. Review the summary. Confirm eligibility through current account, gateway, and destination-ZIP results.

The retained SpeedX coverage file contains 11,775 unique five-digit ZIPs organized into 122 service areas across 43 states, plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Entry is supported through ATL, DFW, EWR, IAH, LAX, MIA, ORD, and SFO. Gateway reach is not identical, so select the entry gateway first and validate the exact destination when creating the label.

Swipe horizontally to inspect the map.Select a gateway to view its state-level reach, or open the map full screen. Use the state-level view for gateway planning; shading means the current footprint includes serviceable ZIPs in that state, not full-state coverage. Validate the exact destination when creating the label.

Surcharges: DAS, EDAS, and oversize

DAS and EDAS: validate before label creation

DASA delivery-area surcharge may apply to some destinations. Confirm it against the account's current contract and the final label result.
EDASAn extended delivery-area surcharge may apply to some destinations. Rules and amounts can vary by contract, so validate before quoting and label creation.

Coverage and surcharge validation are separate steps: first confirm destination eligibility, then use the account contract and label result to determine whether DAS or EDAS applies.

Oversize Surcharge

SpeedX assesses Oversize Surcharges based on the parcel’s longest side, length + width + height, and weight. These charges apply on an ongoing basis. Parcels delivered through the partner network incur partner shipping charges in addition to the applicable surcharge.

Swipe the table horizontally to view all thresholds and charges.

Oversize Surcharges (USD per package)
Surcharge typeThresholdSurcharge per package
Longest side24–35.4 in$15 per package
Longest side> 35.4 in$15 per package plus partner shipping rates
Length + width + height (L+W+H)120–150 cm$20 per package
Length + width + height (L+W+H)> 150 cm$30 per package plus partner shipping rates
Weight> 30 lb$200 per package plus partner shipping rates

The dimension test is L+W+H, not length plus girth. When a package falls into two surcharge types, the higher surcharge applies; do not simply add both. Partner shipping rates are provided separately and are not included in the fixed surcharge amounts above. Parcels above the indicated thresholds use the partner network, requiring separate confirmation of transport arrangements and transit.

These are charging thresholds, not maximum accepted dimensions or weight, and they do not replace written approval. Before quoting, confirm the weight basis, dimensional rounding, partner shipping rates, and acceptance conditions with the account manager. Include the applicable Oversize Surcharge and partner shipping charges in the complete quote.

Parcel acceptance and service boundaries

SpeedX's public parcel-services agreement states that packages over 48 inches in length or over 50 lb require prior written approval from SpeedX, and that territory may be changed by ZIP code. This approval threshold is distinct from the longest-side, L+W+H, and over-30-lb charging thresholds. Paying a surcharge does not replace approval; restricted-commodity, packaging, labeling, and contract rules still apply even below the approval threshold.

Next-day or second-day naming should not be treated as an unconditional shipment-level guarantee. The actual commitment must align with destination eligibility, induction timing, cutoffs, weekend and peak rules, and the signed service terms.

Good-fit and poor-fit profiles

Worth evaluatingUse caution
eCommerce parcels concentrated in currently serviceable SpeedX ZIPs.Highly dispersed volume requiring one carrier to cover every U.S. address.
DTC shipments benefiting from live tracking, SMS, and photo proof of delivery.Heavy or long parcels without full permanent oversize and partner-network pricing, or required written approval.
3PL or cross-border providers able to hand off consolidated volume under manifest and injection rules.Programs promising fixed buyer transit before validating cutoffs, weekends, exceptions, and claims terms.

Pre-launch validation checklist

  1. Select ATL, DFW, EWR, IAH, LAX, MIA, ORD, or SFO for the tender plan, then use the state-level view for initial lane screening.
  2. At label creation, validate exact destination eligibility, service tier, and the account-contract DAS or EDAS status.
  3. Replay real orders by weight, longest side, L+W+H, commodity, and gateway; include oversize and partner-network costs and identify approval-required or fallback shipments.
  4. Validate labels, manifests, induction scans, tracking events, delivery photos, address corrections, returns, and claims workflows.
  5. Pilot limited lanes and shipment profiles, then expand based on on-time delivery, first-scan latency, exceptions, support contacts, and invoice variance.

Sources and factual boundaries

Company information, published services, and tracking capabilities can be verified on the official SpeedX site and its logistics-provider page. Weight, length, and territory terms come from the SpeedX Parcel Services Agreement. Confirm Oversize Surcharges and partner shipping charges against the active account rate card. The coverage map provides a state-level planning view of the current operating footprint. Confirm exact eligibility, DAS/EDAS rules, and pricing against the account contract at label creation; the map is not a transit, performance, or rate commitment.

FAQ

No. SpeedX does not deliver to PO Box addresses or APO/FPO/DPO military or diplomatic addresses. A destination ZIP appearing in the coverage file does not make these address types eligible; choose a service that supports the address type.
SpeedX publishes next-day, second-day, customs-clearance, and handling/injection services. Availability depends on ZIPs, operating arrangements, and contract.
The retained file contains 11,775 unique five-digit ZIPs, 122 service areas, and 8 entry gateways. Validate the account, gateway, and destination ZIP for each shipment.
DAS or EDAS may apply to some destinations. Eligibility and amounts depend on the destination and active account contract; check both before quoting and label creation.
Oversize Surcharges are assessed by longest side, L+W+H, and weight separately: 24–35.4 in longest side carries $15; over 35.4 in carries $15 plus partner shipping rates. L+W+H of 120–150 cm carries $20; over 150 cm carries $30 plus partner shipping rates. Weight over 30 lb carries $200 plus partner shipping rates. Fixed surcharges are per package. When two types apply, use the higher surcharge; partner shipping rates are provided separately. These charges apply on an ongoing basis. Charging thresholds differ from acceptance approval: length over 48 in or weight over 50 lb still requires prior written SpeedX approval. Paying a surcharge does not guarantee acceptance.
Length over 48 in or weight over 50 lb requires prior written SpeedX approval. Weight over 30 lb carries a permanent $200 per-package Oversize Surcharge plus partner shipping rates. Payment does not replace approval; contents, packaging, labeling, and account acceptance rules still apply.
A replacement decision should not rely on marketing alone. Pilot by ZIP and shipment profile, then use actual service and invoice data to decide whether to expand.

From service evaluation to integration validation

After confirming the SpeedX product and handoff arrangement, use the SpeedX shipping integration guide to validate quotes, labels, first scans, exceptions, and billing. Public coverage does not establish that your account has the service enabled.

Delivery support or commercial onboarding

SpeedX carries parcels; EasyShippingX provides rating, labels, and onboarding for available services. For an existing delivery, use the tracking and support navigation on the carrier’s official site and contact your merchant. Rate requests on this page are for warehouse and 3PL business evaluation.

Validate the product, origin, and destination ZIP before comparing quotes, tender transport, surcharges, and exception costs. Include the coverage-file version and tender method with your sample. ZIP counts summarize that file and are not a live guarantee shared by every product.
